Meet Danielle, Ryan and Harry. Welcome to their dog family photos…or photos with the dog, whichever you prefer.
Danielle contacted us with a very common story: she was deeply disappointed by her wedding photographer. She and Ryan had been married for only a short time, and when they viewed the photos from their wedding day, their hearts sank. They simply did not like what they saw. They felt taken advantage of by their photographer. They felt the loss of the day that they thought was being captured, and captured well. They had only a handful of photos that they thought were “ok.” Jenni and I just about cried as we listened to her story. It’s one we hear frequently these days as more and more people claim to be photographers, take clients money and return a sub-par and often terrible product. So Danielle had a plan and a question, “can you take photos of us to take the place of our wedding photos? And…can we also take some dog family photos?” Harry, or Harold as they often referred to him, is their baby. They ADORE Harry. Of course he needed to be a part of their session. We set a date, a place and a plan. Here’s the result.
“Oh, Harold. You and that bow tie! You’re so fancy!” -Danielle
“Can you edit Ryan out? JUST KIDDING!” -Danielle
And we didn’t forget to take lovely photos of Danielle and Ryan. They were so happy to have something to hang in their gorgeous downtown loft.
We adored working with this sweet couple and their Harold. Dog family photos? Super fun. I do recommend them.
p.s. Do you have a sad wedding photo story? Can we help you by doing a re-shoot? Contact us and we’ll listen to you and offer photo-therapy. 🙂 No, for reals.
